About Me
I am a qualified counsellor and an Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a hairdresser for 26 years, supporting people from all walks of life. My passion for people grew from those years of listening, caring and being trusted with their stories.
I am human too. I’ve experienced my own struggles, and I believe that being truly heard in times of need can shape the rest of our future. We are all worthy of someone seeing our potential, even when we can’t see it ourselves. My work is informed not only by my training, but also by my lived experience.
I believe trauma survivors are not broken even if they feel they are. Healing is possible. Regardless of age, race or gender, every person has a place in this world and a valued one. Coming from a mixed background myself, I understand the feeling of not quite belonging, and the deep need to find your place and your people.
I have worked with charities supporting adults and young people, witnessing the impact of being heard in a confidential, non-judgemental space. Having someone genuinely care about your wellbeing can change how you see yourself and your life.

After my first session with Byneta I was very happy that I chose her. Byneta was very easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. I trusted her with everything I said and never felt pressured while with her. She taught me the most valuable piece of information that I am in control of my life, everything is my decision and my choice. I left every session with something and at times she helped me learn to laugh again not something I imagined in a therapy room she really does bring the human into it.

I can not express enough how grateful I am for the support and guidance I've received from Byneta. From the very first session, she made me feel comfortable and at ease. Her compassion, ability to connect combined with her knowledge have helped me navigate some of the most challenging moments in my life. She listens attentively, I've been able to move forward in my grief. I highly recommend Byneta to anyone seeking professional, caring and effective counselling.

Mother of Young Person
Byneta worked with my daughter a few years back at school. I wanted to write and say how grateful we were and still are for the incredible help she had received. Byneta really understood my daughter and genuinely over the period of her counselling we saw her transform and grow in self-confidence from a really low point, at the start, to a place where she is now, 3 years on she still refers back to her sessions with Byneta. We can never really thank Byneta enough we will forever be grateful.

I have suffered for years with my nerves and confidence and was so nervous before my first session but Byneta put me right at ease. She really does care and you feel that. I was able to uncover things I had buried and though I had gone for my nerves we worked on so much more. I am thankful for her time and helping me. I have been able to take so much away after sessions and have also returned to Byneta when I lost my partner. Thank you for not judging me and giving me a space to be heal and grieve.
